Pete and his crew at Handiman Werks completely finished our basement in our new house. The work was completed as scheduled and work they did was great. The Jacuzzi tub in our new bathroom was a great addition as well as our huge family room where we all now retreat to in the evenings and on weekends. We are so happy that Handiman Werks was recommended by our friends for this project.

I needed a frozen pipe repaired in an emergency. Pete responded immediately and the pipe was replaced and even found and fixed the source of the problem. No more frozen pipes!

We own an old country farm house and wanted a new kitchen. We were referred to Handiman Werks by our neighbor. Pete and his son came over to see what had to be done. They asked a lot of questions to find out what we were looking for in a kitchen and how much we wanted to spend. Plans were drawn and reviewed. After we accepted the proposal, work was started within a week. The entire project took about 2 weeks. They Installed 2 new windows, installed new wiring and plumbing for the sink and installed all of the cabinets. The kitchen was transformed from an old farmhouse kitchen to a big modern efficient work space where I now enjoy cooking and baking more than ever.
The price for our new kitchen was less than other quotes that we received. They did a great job.

We needed a deck for our new above ground swimming pool. We had contacted several other contractors without any satisfaction. Then a friend told us about Handiman Werks. We contacted them for a quote.
They drew up plans for us to review and gave us the proposal. We agreed to have them build the deck around the 24' pool.
My husband and I could not believe how well the project went and how huge the deck is. We now have a deck that begins at our back door, has a big party area than steps down to the fenced off pool area. They just did a fantastic job and we could not be more pleased with all that they did.

The exterior of our house had old lap siding that was falling apart and ugly. We recently had our windows and exterior doors replaced by Handiman Werks and now wanted to have siding installed.
Handiman Werks removed the old lap siding and then installed new insulation before installing the new siding.
The work that Pete and his crew performed was excellent!
With the new siding, soffit, facia and windows and doors, our house looks like it was just built. I can tell you too that our neigbors are pleased with our "new" house.

I am a widow that had a fairly large "TO DO" list. Trying to find someone that could do everthing on the list was difficult. At a family gathering, I asked a few relatives if they knew anyone that was handy that may be able to handle my projects. My nephew recommended Pete of Handiman Werks. He had designed and built, with his crew a deck around thier simming pool.
I called Pete and he responded quickly. He came over to discuss the projects and came up with a proposal very promptly. Here is the work he did:
1) Finished one bedroom with a oak hardwood floor, oak base,oak casing and a set of oak french doors for the closet. everything was stained and finsished by them.
2) Installed new water softener
3) Replacedd GFCI outlet in the kitchen
4) Installed a new closet shelving system in the basement.
5) Repaired broken track lights
6) Installed a set of new oak french doors in another bedroom
7) Installed 2nd door locks on 2 Pella sliding patio doors
8) installed a lock on a file drawer in the kitchen.
9) Installed a safe by anchoring it to a concrete floor.
10) Cleaned out dryer vent
11) Finished trim around cabinet in one bathroom and installed hardware to the cabinets. The vanity cabinet was built by another company and never finished the trim. They also put a single door on the cabinet where when I opened it, I could not pull out the sliding shelve because the door could not open all the way because it hit the toilet. Pete Installed 2 doors to solve the problem.
There are other small projects that he did without any problems and finshished everything with quality work. I am very pleased with the work and Handiman Werks is now my go-to handyman service when I need something done around the house.
June; Watertown, Wisconsin New Ceiling and Paint
When I bought my house, the living room had a textured ceiling and an area that was patched by someone that did not know how to patch. Between the awful texturing and bad patch work, the ceiling was terrible to look at.
I found Handiman Werks ad in the local newspaper and called Pete. He responded quickly with a quote. He suggested that new drywall be installed over the existing ceiling to avoid a very messy job and it would cost less.
The work was done very professionally.
I also had them paint 2 bedrooms and a hall and also replaced most of the casing around the doors. They supplied the casing, did the staining and installed them with professional results.
Later, I had a water heater that started to leak. Handiman Werks supplied the waterheater that I had selected and then installed it the very same day I called them about the problem. This is what I call service! The cost for all of the work done was very reasonable.
